We recommend every family trying to treat head lice have a great lice kit on hand. We prefer using natural remedies whenever possible in our home, and we think if you feel the same way. You'll want to have this kit that contains everything you need, all made with the healing strength of tea tree oil.
First off, you'll need a great shampoo that includes tea tree oil, not the cheap stuff. Just because it says its pH balanced, or because it's got a fancy or pretty label on it, doesn't mean it'll work well.
Ours also has peppermint oil in it, which in topical applications may help to get rid of lice, it has proven as second only to tea tree oil in studies.
There are a lot of products out there in health and wellness industry, and many of them make outrageous claims. Even buying it at a health food retailer, doesn't mean you're getting great shampoo. To avoid the pitfalls make sure you request a copy of our

Secondly, you'll need the very best tea tree oil you can find. Some of the cheap stuff has a rather strong odor, whereas good tea tree oil will have an aroma that's got hints of citrus, menthol, and woody overtones. Some feel it also has a somewhat antiseptic or cleansing scent to it. Never buy the cheap stuff, because most likely, it's either gone rancid or it wasn't made from the Melaleuca alternifolia species. The best and purest oil comes from this type of tea tree.
Third, taking a good soak in the shower or bath as the tea tree oil is working can be very soothing. Even the thought of lice causes me to itch, and so getting a great body wash to nourish your skin with vitamins and botanicals may start to ease your mind and body. Add a few drops of tea tree oil if you'd like.
Finally, everyone I've talked to who has had lice in their home will agree, it is incredibly stressful. If this is your household, I highly recommend adding some nutritional support to the mix, our Stress Pack.
When exposed to physical stress, the body uses more of certain nutrients like the B-complex family and vitamin C. That’s why Stress Pack contains Nutri-Calm®, a supplement rich in both of these nutrients. Stress Pack combines herbs and vitamins to nourish the body under physical stress.
