tea tree oil gel

Tea Tree Oil gel is made by several companies, and yes, it's great for relieving arthritis and joint pain. Tea tree mineral gel is also useful for those overworked muscles, and as a cold or chest rub. The reason it works so well, is that tea tree oil is a solvent by nature.

I received the following letter recently, and it prompted me to write this page, describing the benefits of tea tree gel and tea tree oil mineral gel.

Years ago I came across some Tea Tree Oil gel that my mom used
on sore joints/ arthritis. It worked wonders for her.
Unfortunately, it was a promotion and when we ran out
I was unable to find anymore.

Do you have the Tea Tree Oil in gel form?
Do you have any idea where I could get it?

Thanks for your time and great website!

Cheers.

Nick

What makes the solvent properties so valuable? Tea tree oil can rapidly penetrate the skin and reach the sore muscles and joints providing almost instant effects. To prove this to yourself try the following experiment.

Dab a drop or two of tea tree oil on your cheek, use a cotton swab if you like. Within less than thirty seconds most people can actually taste the tea tree oil in their mouths! This penetrating action carries the active ingredients, Oil of Wintergreen (Methyl Salicylate), and Menthol, deep to the source of irritation.

Not only does tea tree oil carry the soothing and cooling ingredients to the arthritis, joint pain, or sore muscles, tea tree itself is antiseptic and has some analgesic properties as well. Its action is similar to menthol and Wintergreen Oil.

2 Varieties of Tea Tree Gel

The most commonly available tea tree oil gel is an antiseptic gel. This tea tree gel is useful for minor cuts and scratches, shaving nicks, and as a mild antiseptic. Some of these gels also contain arnica, a well known soothing ingredient. In our family, we use arnica gel to help any bumps or bruises to fade away quickly.

The second type of Tea Tree Gel has menthol or Oil of Wintergreen in it. The best have both ingredients. Jason Natural's produces a Tea Tree Mineral Gel. I quote here from their product information

"Mineral Gel with 100% Pure Tea Tree OilA deeply penetrating cooling therapeutic gel that helps relax tight aching muscles, bringing instant relief. Exclusive all-vegetable formula contains no animal fats or mineral oil, petrolatum or paraffin wax. Greaseless, stainless and pleasant to use. Many sports doctors and physical therapists recommended deep cold therapy for the treatment of painful injuries.
