Garlic cloves are one of the best herbs for athletes foot, but is considered by most as merely a food product. It is in the truest sense a nutritional supplement. It is one of the best anti-fungal remedies available.

Among many herbalists and nutritional consultants, this is a first choice supplement. It is one of the most widely recommended anti-fungal antiseptics, and for good reason many scientifically rigorous studies show that it's effective in treating athletes foot and other fungal infections, including vaginal yeast infections.

There are several ways to apply it to the treatment of athletes foot, especially in combination with tea tree oil. Although the method might be malodorous, you might find it relieves itching and burning, especially that hot red itching and burning between your toes.

And then give your feet a good soak for 20 or 30 minutes. The traditional Chinese approach involves using garlic cloves crushed and mixed with olive oil or some other oil, leading its deep for three or four days, straining out the garlic and using a cotton ball to apply the garlic oil between your toes a few times a day

If you don't mind going around smelling like you're trying to keep the vampires away, some herbalists recommend taping slivers of garlic on bad patches of athletes foot, but perhaps this is best for when you're sitting around watching a football game, without the company coming over. If this irritates your skin, discontinue use go back to using the garlic foot bath or garlic oil.
