For my 50th birthday I flew to Florida to visit friends. Our visit was close to the anniversary my husband and I were about to celebrate so our friends made us a birthaversary dinner. My friend had lost her mom a few months ago and inherited moms cooking casserole dishes etc.
The dish she cooked sweet potato casserole in cracked in the oven during cooking so when we took it out of the oven it made a mess. We threw the broken dish in a bag and set it aside. After dinner, when we were cleaning, up I happened to brush my foot across the bag and the cracked dish sliced my foot open and cut a nerve. What a mess !!

Well, I had to go in for stitches - 5 of them but I opted for staples (never again) instead. The next day we had to fly home. The following weekend we went the the annual
Renaissance Festival nearby and stopped at a booth that sold essential oils, homemade soaps and skin salves. The lady just happened to be talking about her healing salve with tea tree oil in it and how quickly it heals wounds.
I took some home and put it on my foot and the wound was completely closed in less than two days and I got the staples removed. No side affects what so ever!!!
