Acne Types

Custom Search

The most commonly searched for acne types and conditions are acne vulgaris, abscesses, cystic acne, back acne, baby acne, and acne rosacea.

Back acne, also called "bacne" is often a form of cystic acne. Characterized by nodules and cysts, back acne can often be severe.

One of the reasons this can be difficult to treat is because of the thicker skin and numerous oil glands in the back. These oily or sebaceous glands can be easily clogged by dirt or other contaminants, plugging the pores and creating an environment friendly to bacteria.

home remedy for "bacne"

To treat back acne and acne cysts at home you'll need a mild cleanser, and alpha hydroxy lotion, benzoyl peroxide lotion, and a skin moisturizer if you are prone to dry skin.

You'll need to wash your back gently, then apply the alpha hydroxy lotion and benzoyl peroxide, allowing time for each solution to dry before applying the other lotion. Finally, apply the skin moisturizer to prevent dry or cracked skin.

And acne cyst is often described as larger than 5 mm across and is usually filled with pus. This bus can become hardened and although squeezing or breaking open the acne cyst may relieve some of the pressure and pain temporarily, scarring and deeper infections are common from this.

Acne vulgaris

Acne vulgaris gets its name because vulgaris refers to common people, that is another way of saying almost everybody. Acne vulgaris affects nearly everyone. Treatment is similar to the above for home care. Washing with a mild cleanser, followed by the application of benzoyl peroxide or tea tree oil that has been added to your cleanser at the rate of five or 10 drops per application, and a good rinse with an astringent such as witch hazel. Once again, a skin moisturizer and may help to prevent drying.
